1. Scope & Acceptance

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sekoia Club website (sekoia.club) and the workshop services offered through it. By accessing this website or registering for a workshop, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Sekoia Club is operated by LanShan Sàrl, a company registered in Switzerland ("we", "us", "our").

2. Services

Sekoia Club organises and delivers hands-on creative workshops for adults, primarily aged 50 and above, in Switzerland. Services include:

• In-person creative workshops (filmmaking, AI literacy, argumentation & debate, cultural outings)
• Online pre-registration for upcoming workshops
• Partnership and collaboration opportunities for trainers and organisations

Workshop content, dates, availability, and pricing are subject to change. We will notify registered participants of any material changes to a workshop they have booked.

3. Workshop Registration & Payment

3.1 Registration

By completing a registration and payment for a workshop, you enter into a binding agreement with LanShan Sàrl for the delivery of that workshop. Your place is confirmed upon receipt of payment.

3.2 Payment

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, Inc. Prices are listed in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Payment is due at the time of registration.

3.3 Early Bird Pricing

Where early bird pricing is offered, the discounted rate applies until the date specified on the workshop page. After that date, the regular price applies automatically.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

4.1 Cancellation by the participant

• More than 30 days before the workshop start date: Full refund minus a CHF 50 administrative fee
• 15–30 days before the workshop start date: 50% refund
• Less than 15 days before the workshop start date: No refund

Cancellations must be sent in writing to hello@sekoia.club. The date of receipt of the email determines which cancellation tier applies.

4.2 Cancellation by Sekoia Club

We reserve the right to cancel a workshop due to insufficient enrolment, instructor unavailability, or circumstances beyond our control (force majeure). In such cases, registered participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future workshop.

4.3 Transfer

You may transfer your registration to another person at no additional cost, provided you notify us at least 7 days before the workshop start date.

5. Participant Conduct

By attending a Sekoia Club workshop, you agree to:

• Treat fellow participants, trainers, and staff with mutual respect and kindness
• Follow any safety instructions provided at the venue
• Refrain from disruptive, discriminatory, or harmful behaviour

We reserve the right to ask a participant to leave a workshop without refund if their behaviour materially disrupts the experience for others.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Website content

All content on this website — including text, images, design, logos, and code — is the property of LanShan Sàrl or its licensors and is protected by Swiss and international copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without our written permission.

6.2 Workshop outputs

Creative works produced by participants during workshops (films, photographs, artwork) remain the intellectual property of the participants who created them. By participating, you grant Sekoia Club a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use anonymised or credited excerpts of workshop outputs for promotional purposes (website showcase, social media, marketing materials). You may withdraw this licence at any time by contacting us.

7. Liability

7.1 Website

This website is provided "as is". We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy and availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free content. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this website.

7.2 Workshops

Sekoia Club takes reasonable care to ensure the safety and quality of its workshops. However, participation is at your own risk. We are not liable for:

• Personal injury during outdoor activities (hiking, excursions) except where caused by our gross negligence
• Loss or damage to personal property during workshops
• Actions or omissions of third-party trainers, venues, or service providers

We recommend that participants hold valid personal health and accident insurance.

8. External Links

This website may contain links to third-party websites (e.g. Stripe for payments, social media platforms). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of these external sites.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at the registered seat of LanShan Sàrl
